There are many ways to bring your cabinets back to life, you can go with a faux finish, install a glass front or just sand and extinguish the doors. Which one you decide to go there are many options to figure out how to decorate cabinet doors.

The first and easiest method adds a faux finish to the doors. All you need for this is some brushes, some special rolls and a cloth.

Clean the cabinet surface with a mild soap and aqueous solution.

Tape of or remove all door hardware to avoid becoming color of them.

Next you want to use a ragset to paint the front of the cabinet.

Soak the cloth in color and turn it out. Now dab entire face of the cupboard with cloth. This will provide a mirrored texture to the cabinet.

Let the color dry for a few hours and then take the decorative roll. Use another free color color for it rolled on the design.

The way in which a decorative role works is it will have an embossed pattern on the roll itself. When you roll it on the cabinet it will leave the design. Use it sparingly to give some accent bits.

The next way to redecorate the cabinet doors is much more involved. You must pull the doors from the cabinets and take them into the store.

Measure the cabinet door and find out your offsets for the cabinet window.

Use a drill to highlight the pilot holes for the 4 corners where you should cut the doors.

Take a jig saw and cut a square in the middle of the door.

Then you need a router to escape in the sides of the clip.

Install a framework in the hole you have just cut and place a glass in the new frame.

Use casting on the back of the cabinet door to lubricate the glass in place.

Now you can hang the doors and reinstall the door hardware.

The last, most involved method to decorate your cabinet is a complete sand and refinish.

Once again, you must pull off the doors of the cabinets.

Use a sander to remove the old finish.

Now use a fine sandpaper to prepare the cabinet door for the stain.

Wipe all down with a damp cloth to remove all the dust and allow to dry.

Now the door stains with which color you want to apply.

Add multiple layers for a deeper spot.

After coloring, it is a good idea to apply a coat or two of the polyurethane to protect the door. You don’t want any moisture that comes into the wood. Plus it makes cleaning of cabinets much easier.

It is all that is available for this method. Just hang the doors again and you’re done.
