Nature-Inspired Decor Ideas for Your Kitchen

If you are looking for a theme for your kitchen, consider using nature as your inspiration. You have a wide range of opportunities, including animals, fruits, vegetables and flowers. Although these themes are popular in country kitchens, some will work with modern, traditional or retro kitchens as well.

Animals are extremely popular. A dog lover might want to decorate with dogs or even a specific race. Those who appreciate their catsking friends can enjoy a cat theme. Birds can be a good choice because our feathered friends can be very colorful, or you can choose a species of a specific color as cardinal if you want red accents. Roosters can sport many colors on a bird that can be good to pick up other shades in your room as cabinets or counters. Cows are good for kitchen on land, and black and white cattle can see exceptionally good with a black and white kitchen. Deer Decor can look fantastic in hunting cottages and rustic rooms.

Fruit is another good choice. Red apples and strawberries work well for red accents. Green apples or pears are nice for kitchens in coordinating green and brown. Tuscany grapes are wonderful if you want to inject purple or burgundy in your kitchen. If you want a lot of color or try to tie together many shades, consider motifs with mixed fruits.

Flowers can be another way to bring nature in your home. Sunflowers are a favorite with their bright yellow and brown color. Roses in varying shades are also attractive. For even more color options, go with accessories with mixed bouquets or several flowers in different shades.

Vegetables are another well-kept kitchen decor. Red chili peppers are in Vogue right now, especially if you have a southwest home. Scenes with several different vegetables are good to bring a variety of bright colors. Yellow corn is a good selection for golden accents or if you have brown and orange tones, Indian corn can coordinate nicely.

Tree is another option to consider. For warmer climates or if you just want to feel warm, try palm tree patterns. Tall trees can be a nice touch for a mountain top retreat. If you decorate your kitchen for the holidays, patterns presenting Christmas trees would be beautiful.

Marine motifs can be good for housing near water bodies or if you are a fish lover. Tropical fish accessories can inject a lot of color in your kitchen. Another popular idea, but not strictly natural related, is lighthouses. Many of these scenes are by the sea and include marine life as a starfish.

Mountains can offer many color opportunities. Those covered by trees would look good with green and brown. Others can be covered in different flowers and plants in varying shades. Rocky Mountains can have many shades depending on how lighting and color is used in the scene.

Nature can be a good theme to use for your kitchen decor. With unlimited color opportunities and a variety of appearance, one of these motives will provide the perfect decoration accents for your kitchen.
